Post by: albitz on 06 November 2007, 18:41:41
further to my"2.5 fault code confusion"posting i am now in need of some more advice. i have got codes 19 and 89 showing.i know that code 19 means i need a new crank sensor(where from and how much anyone?)but code 89 apparently means-oxygen sensor heater, low voltage.whats that all about? anyone got any info/ideas?

lamda.

But change the crank sensor first (and immediately!), and see if the 89 disappears.  It frequently throws some spurious codes...

When mine went Vauxhall dealer on trade club seemed the best option. There are some on Ebay but not significantly cheaper and if you end up with the wrong one a load more hassle. Mine was about 40 quid IIRC.

I had to fix my code 89 by replacing the lambda sensor (about £50).
