I have never had the rev counter working on my car since I bought it, so from the advice on here, I changed the crank sensor. Still no rev counter.
I have also tried a different clock-set.
Any ideas?

The rev counter on our Range Rover is wired to the alternator, it had come off when ours didn't work ::)
Don't know if its the same on Omega..
Hope this helps :y

Probably not...thanks anyway.

continuity check each wire from the DIS plug back to the relevent ECU pins

Sounds like a pain in the arse...but I'll give it a go...Cheers James.

I'll try and have a look on a certain software package and let you know which pins to look at ::)
This is presuming the rev counter needs a signal from the DIS - I may be wrong.

According to a prog i dont have.....it might have suggested the rev counter is fed by F12 (20amp fuse)....on a 3.0L, 1998.......dont spose other things dont work?
Worth checking the fuses i guess :y

Definately
TD, PM Pending :y

DIS plug....you should know better James....modern engines dont use nasty noisey coil signals for such things :y
The RPM signal is a specific pin on the ECU (pin 43 - green wire) and goes to pin22 (green wire) on the instruments and pin 30 of the ABS unit (green wire) plus pin 6 (green wire) of the MID......so check for continuity between all these.
And James, you will need to know the above for your LPG install.....

I'm having problems with the heated seat...I've put another seat in, but it still doesn't appear to be heating up.
Issues connected????

Dunno......but worth checking the fuses....and if all ok......do as Mark says..... :y
I thought the rev counter was feed by the ECU but wasnt positive so didnt comment on it
