Title: What does your temp gauge sit at
Post by: BMH_26 on 13 November 2007, 22:53:02
Hello all just purely wondering really,

1, What engine do you have?

2, What does your temp gauge sit at?

3, Does it move once in its normal position?

Thank you in advance.  :y

Should always sit just below mid point when cruising, just above in traffic.

Generally, earlier gauges are scaled 90 to 100C, later 80C to 100C

1/  3.0
2/  Normally just under halfway, but lately with being cold 90-92
3/  Sitting in traffic the gauge will go up to around 97-97 1/2 then the fans kick in and bring temperature back down to normal

2.5
normally she will sit at 82/85 cruising
yes mine moves like bleeding whores drawers currently, as soon as i slow down the temp creeps up to 92 then the fan kicks in and drags it back down to 85 then off she goes skyward again.......
and this continues until we are cruising again i.e. 40+

only recently it has been doing this, no fluid loss or anything untoward
