here are 3 pics of the blind see the silver arm is touching the cylinder is this meant to be here?
it looks like it is stuck
also in one of the 6 holes that hold the blind to the parcel shelf one of them was very hard as the arm inside the blind was over one of these holes again is that meant to be there.
also (sorry)
I cant lift up the blind by hand it only comes up about 2 inches then it will not budge again is this meant to be like this.

looks fairly normal to me, though dont think it should touch.
The blind cannot operate by hand when connected to motor. Undo allen screw (3mm iirc) that holds the arms to gearbox, lift it clear, and rotate by hand.
Lube runners with ptfe spray (don't use oil/grease!)

No, PTFE spray is a dry lube and stops it from getting clogged up with dust....WD40 isnt even a lube, its a water repellent with minimal lubrication properties.

ok do i get it from b and q, halfords or just a hardware shop.

They should all have them, got mine from B&Q.

not 100% sure of the problem but i used emery paper on the points and lube that included PTFE.
Not sure if the above two methods got it working.
For me the problem was the metal arm was touching the side of the motor.
I have since put it back together (five times today ARGHHH) but moved the arm joint in the middle (oval shape) to point
so that the right hand side points down and the left up, as opposed to right up and left down.
because above in my previous post when I got it working it stopped again.
It took 4 further attemps (1 after putting almost all the car back together again) of continuous work not work, work, not work.
But it is working shame my battery died, i left it on ignition point 1.
just got the trusty scooter out and jump started it first time.
So happy, thanks to the guide on here and all the people that have given advice on the way.
It was worth it in the end.

I have the same problem with mine but from listening to the work you had to do with yours I don't think I will bother fixing it! :)

tried it yesterday 3 times over 6 hours all fine, this morning not working again
