Title: Changing Oil 2.5TD
Post by: MickAP on 26 November 2007, 19:03:01
Going to change the engine oil on my 2.5TD. I've seen the oil change mantainance guides for my model, and it says use filter part no 93180093.  Can those more knowledgeble tell if this is the correct filter, BTW it's a facelift year 2000 model http://www.vauxhall-car-parts.co.uk/acatalog/93180093N_2.jpg Also will this air filter fit or do I need a different one for the TD http://www.vauxhall-car-parts.co.uk/acatalog/Omega-Air-Filters.html.....And finally what's the best oil for the diesel I think it's had 10/40 semi synthetic before.

check filter housing - if plastic cap, 93180093. If metal, 93180820. Semi is fine.  Best thing you can do is change it every 3k MAX

Genuine Vauxhall or do Halfords do a good one I could use. Cheers for that

Vauxhall Semi-Synthetic 10w40 is about the best value for money, especially on Trade Club if you buy 4 5 litre cartons for the price of 3.
