Title: Irmscher? What is it?
Post by: V8S on 04 October 2007, 10:19:58
OK, I vaguely know of the name and seen the odd badge. What I don't understand, though, is what this company means in respect to the Omega.

Could you buy an Irmscher Omega, like you can buy an AMG or a Brabus or an Alpina? Is it a tuner that would improve your car if you ticked a box when you bought it new?

When people say they have an Irmscher Omega, what does that mean exactly? That they've stuck a load of plastic to it?

Cheers,

Graham

Hi V8S,

Just like you i didn't know what Irmscher was.

The person i bought the car from, went on about it having an Irmscher kit  :question

Irmscher Boot spoiler.
Irmscher Grill.

I think i have other Irmscher bit's, like you, what, i dont know.

Blue dash.

Good luck, watching closely.

In general, Irmscher provide VX approved after market sports kits such as grills, front spoiler/valance, side skirts, rear spoilers etc.

I have an Irmscher kit on mine below

Oh right, so it's just plastic bits - not engine / suspension / brake mods like AMG and Alpina then?

Irmscher do the lot, mechanical, interior and exterior.

The issue is getting the stuff for the Omega now is getting difficult as it has been out of production for a while now

have a look here  http://www.irmscher.de/uk/

That's about the size of it.

I'm disappointed now. :-[

So does anyone on here have any Irmscher mods to anything other than bodywork?

AFAIK, they did no mods to engine, most mods were based around styling (bodykits, wheels, interio styling etc) and suspension.

Ah, I stand corrected then. Didn't realise they did mechanical parts aswell, although I knew they produced wheels as I had a choice of Irmscher or Azev's when I bought Omega from Big Rod.

The standard mini-facelift MV6 wheels are Irmscher, as is the little boot lip spoiler.

Unfortunatly the body kits are no longer available, I recently tried to get the full kit to no avail, I ended up speaking with irmscher germany and they informed me that no more body kits were being produced, the only way was to hope there were some out there on shelves, no way, i tried everything and spent many hours trying to get the kit.

 :( :(

The kits are still available from LMF, I did post this link up before check the link out and see for yourself, unless they have sold out and not removed it from their site ::)
