Title: Trim Removal

Hello everyone,
     i am thinking of replacing my trim in my 2002 Omega CDX. Preferably without damaging it and its the door cards, the bits on the dashboard, its every little bit of trim.

Yea, i am thinking of replacing the trim from wooden trim to aluminium trim but i dont know how to do it.

Is it hard or  easy?

Have a look here for the door cards, as for the rest maybe someone else knows how to remove the dash trim.

I've often fancied this as well! I think the wood trim is one of the only things that lets the car down and personally think it makes it look a bit dated.

We deal with a company at work that coats plastics, in literally ANY colour/finish you want and the quality is superb. A little like you Jimbob, don't want to end up with it looking worse than it is now by busting clips, trim and bodging! The best way I would suggest is to get hold of a set of trim off a scrap car and do the business with that. It will also allow you to see the location of clips/fixings and screws etc.

Sorry cannot be more help. There was a guide for removing the centre dash panel also.....

hello, removing it is dead easy. Ive done it a few times now. Mainly cos got my car with nothing in it. Xpolice car all ripped out the dash.
You remove stereo and ashtray. Remove two fixing screws. memory is getting a bit hazy now, when I did it i removed the stero housing too but cant remember if that is required or not. Anyhow the main thing here is you now have to prise each switch out and unplug air con then the whole housing comes out any remaining screws are easy.
I need to replace mine with a nice ally job as mine is all scratched up got mine from a scrapped car better than the one i had but still not great.

Oooh eck, i'll have to have a look next time i'm in work and post it up here. Don't think it's especially cheap though  ::)

mgroli, do you happen to know how the trim comes off the doors?
