Title: No change to heating...Broken Servo?
Post by: Paulus on 01 December 2007, 13:42:06
I have NEVER had the heating working in my car. This is what I have done so far...
1. Replaced HBV.
2. Flushed the entire coolant system (paying particular attention to the heater matrix).
3. Checked all Vac lines.
4. Checked that the link is attached to the servo under the steering wheel.
5. All fuses double checked.
6. Both inlet and outlet from the heater matrix are getting VERY hot.

When I tried to do a reset by holding the Auto/Off buttons down, nothing happended. No whirring, no changes, no movement in the servo under the steering wheel...nothing.

Where do I go next? it's beginning to bring me down.  :'(

Paul.

if only you were closer, we'd have the tech2 on the panel working out what it thought was going on.

check the sampling fan...

The sampling fan is ok...Checked.

Will a Tech2 find the problem if it is electrical/electronic?

I think I will actually...first I need to MOT it (hopefully this week). It'll be worth the trip to have someone that does actually know his arse from his elbow.  ;)

I work in Coventry, so it's not too bad for an evening trip.
