What engine is it and was it a stealer that said it was not the dis pack.give us some details to work with here mate. ::)

hi mate it is a 2.5 on a p reg with 112000 on it with history and in great condition. thanks caretaker

Genrally the things that cause a missfire are in order of prob 1= dis pack
2= leads
3= plugs
If you can swop the leads with a new set try that, then the plugs and finally the dis pack as this is the hardest to do ::)

Quite often if one of the above are weak it will only misfire at idle or when under heavy load, Just because it fires OK at a certain RPM doesn't mean all is well.
Have the ECU been checked for trouble codes?

i did myn two weeks ago quite futi you need to take off the casing off the top of the engine then there is 4 screws to take out of the coil pack and the connector you need to get it to the left hand side of the engine to get it out watch the thermostat wire good luck.
