Title: oil in plug well...stalling,and running rough!

any ideas anyone...my omega 2.0 (v reg) had started stalling after warm up..then to make matters worse, engine misfires, sounds like a pig, and struggles under load....changed the h/t leads and plugs and whilst doin so notice the plug wells were full of oil.....help....

Sounds like the cam cover gaskets are leaking, not a major DIY job.

If your cam cover gasket is leaking oil into your plug wells,
you've probably got blocked breathers.
Check them iaw this link:

Also, stalling after warm up is sometimes a symptom of a failing
crank sensor. Do a paperclip check iaw this link.

You'll probably have a simtec ECU, so do it with ignition on, but engine
not running, and look for 4 figure codes.
Post up any codes you get, and report back on your breather check.
