Hello,
This isn’t a huge problem but just one of those niggles. How do you stop car seats squeaking? They squeak when I sit in them and when going around corners.
I was thinking about squirting WD40 through the seats but I thnk that would leave a smell.
Is there a PTFE or silicone spray that I could use.
Has anyone got any other remedies?

Year, model and engine type please(it does make a difference!)

I have a 2001 2.6 CDX Velour trim.
Why does it make a differance? I must have the squeaky 2001 seats, which is odd because there is not a trim sqeak or rattle anywhere else in the car, just those seats....

It makes a diffrence because we know know you dont have sports seats or fully electric memory seats....

The info I have sudgests that the squeking is due to the active head restraints....so pop the cover off the rear of the seat and lube the mechansim associated with it.

Oh I see. They are electric & heated put standard seats. I wish that the squeak would go, I am thinking of a PTFE spray and trying to spray the inside of the seats. I know its a small problem but it is annoying

Hi, ok i shall try that. It does sound like the noise comes from the side restraints though.

mmm, replying to me again. I presume that I can take the seat back off and spray every where?
