Symptoms:
Quick flash rate and no rear indicator....but punch the hazard button and all the lights flash fine!!
Any ideas?
Thanks
Rick

Possibly the relay, is this both sides?
-
Arn't the 4 ways on a seperate circuit to normal indicators??
-
It is indeed both sides, seems to be an intermittent fault, now becoming permanent!
So is there a separate relay for the rear indicators?
Forgot to mention, car is fitted with a towbar & electrics if that helps.
Thanks
Rick

Its worth checking the tow bar electrics as its a sure bet that the power for the towbar is taken directly from the rear loom, I had a bad towbar plug caused all sorts of probs because of corrosion inside it, might be worth checking. :y

Easy one.....faulty hazard switch......
As a short term fix, turn the hazards on and off 20 or so times to wipe the switch contacts.

No more ideas required.....its the hazard switch.....seen it before.
ALL the indicator wiring goes via the hazrd switch.
-
Many thanks Mark - that does make perfect sense
All the best to all

I agree with M_DTM, sounds like the usual hazard switch problem. When this switch starts to fail, it does knacker up the indicators...
