Well currently i'm in Toddington services waiting for the AA to take me home (had the man in a van out at 10am, he couldn't do it, transporter would only take me to toddington, hence waiting for the second lorry to get me back to Essex)
Problem is turn on key, fuel pump isn't priming, take a live off the lights at the fuses under steering wheel and pump springs into life, but turn key and still wont start.
Anyone got a clue what it could be.
Already swapped relay 10 and 20, but still no joy. All other fuses under bonnet checked with multi-meter and appear ok
Guessing not cam sensor as this wouldn't stop the fuel pump working, so does this mean ECU is fubar?? Or is it an imobilser problem??
Is there a fuse 'protecting the ECU that could have blown??
All other electrics, lights, radio, horn wipers etc work.
Its the MV6 3ltr MY99
Car ran perfectly on the 160mile trip to Branston just been parked up overnight
Any clues where to start would be appreciated

not sure, seems crank sensor

The 30 amp fuse in the box above the battery (assuming you've got one) might be worth a check. Would have taken something serious to blow it though :-/
Do you get the EML on with the ignition and does it go off after a delay?

defo the cam sensor I described my faults exactly as yours, changed CPS, bingo first clic she fired up.1/2 job to change for a diy mechanic. :y

I'd say crank sensor. A paperclip would confirm this.

The AA diagnostic would not read the codes properly, but eventually got it to my mechanic last night, so should find out what problem is later today.
Fingers crossed its as easy as the crank sensor.
Another problem is found out yesterday theres oil in the left hand bank plug wells, so rocker covers is def on the list.
Gutted as breathers have been spotless, last time they were checked was at the belt party and ive done less than 10k since then :(
