Title: A bunch of fault codes on the Meega
Post by: JamesV6CDX on 20 December 2007, 22:08:46
I have the following codes stored on the mig:

38 Oxygen sensor Voltage low (1990 model year on)
98 Oxygen sensor Open circuit, wiring break
57 Idle Speed Control Valve (ISCV) Interruption
73 Air Flow Sensor (AFS) Low voltage

I guess they could be historic from when I was tuning the LPG, as there is no EML on

I could really do with borrowing a cheapo tech2 lead for a few days so I can clear and see what re-appears..

We did get an EML briefly when tuning the LPG so that's likely to be the 38.

As you say, the others could be historical.

I have a cheapo Tech 2 I could put in the post.

Would you be so kind? I'll naturally look after it and send it back asap...

For sake of £30 ish, might be worth you getting one anyway, as may be useful when setting up the car, you're bound to cause error codes?

I know they are not brilliant, but £30 is only a cheap night out  :-/

I fully intend to get one. In fact, I'm looking at an OpelScan so I can do actuator tests and look at live info.

Cost is not the problem - I could just do with one to use quicker than any seller could post it ) given the time of year.)- so pinching a cheapo Tech2 for a couple of days is ideal :y

Have you considered this one:
http://www.tek-tronics.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=69

A bit cheaper than OpelScan, and appears to be able to read sensor live data.

Good grief, that looks like exceptional value for money...

I looked a bit more after I sent the link, and it appears that there is a light version and an advanced version. That may just be the light version, as I've seen it prized much higher elsewhere.

Looks interesting. It seems the advanced version only adds reading / writing of flash, etc. which I'd probably prefer to entrust to a real Tech 2.
