If its the bottle itself, they are around £30 from dealer, or get one from scrappy. If yous has coolant level sensor, ensure that replacement works if 2nd hand...

Unlikely if all they touched was crank sensor and icv.
Can you pinpoint where it is actually leaking?

just checked the hoses etc all seemed ok topped up the bottle ran the car up to normal temp all ok .there seems to be a lot of air in the water,on loosening the cap you hear the pressure releasing with a lot of air bubbling through the water any ideas

Is it over pressurising...
-
sounds like it could be
-
Does the top hose get hard when running - thats the normal test for over pressurising.
If its overpressurising, normally due to a leak (such as failed HBV), or HG failure (rare on v6)

hbv heater bipass valve?
