Title: Deadlock stuck on passenger door...
Post by: PaulW on 22 December 2007, 20:28:57
The solenoid has been playing up for a while (lock/unlock) but today its all gone...

The deadlock is now stuck on the passenger door, no matter how many times I lock/unlock the car, the deadlock just won't come off!

Tried with all my might to pull the lock up from inside the car, but it just won't budge...

Any suggestions??

No. :(

But 2 tips - if your locks are playing up, fix them promptly.  If they are suspect, or your battery is suspect, don't deadlock the car ;)

when you attempt to unlock, can you pull up lock then?

I'll try pulling the lock again when I unlock, but it wouldnt let me before :(

Worst case scenario:  Knife + doorcard == replacement :(

Or just unwind window, and passengers can get in 'Dukes of Hazzard' style....

dont use too much power on the door handles as they will easily bend  around..Very hard to repair..

I did this mistake with my ex car in winter when frozen and ooops..damage  :(
