				Hi all

just joined and wanted to say what a splendid forum this is for all thats holy and right in the world of the omega's!!!

Have no fear i will get some pics sorted soon!!

I am having a problem finding an aftermarket exhaust for my 2.5 facelift elite!! Took it in for new tyres and tracking (£330) and the kwick fit fitter said that i would be due for a new mid and rear exhaust soon. I enquired for a price and was quoted about £250-300 depending on model..... surely for that amount there are some stailness aftermarkets out there!

Failing that, i guess the only other option would be to go to someone like powerflow and get a bespoke one made!

Any help would be most grateful!!!!!!

Get a TC card, and you can get a genuine exhaust for the same money as pattern, and it will be a whole heap better :y

				Welcome to the forum :y

There has been recent talk of stainless exhausts here so a search might dredge something up.

Whatever you do don't let Kwik Fit et al fit a bog standard aftermarket one. They are nowhere near as good quality as the Vauxhall original parts and will kill the refinement of the car.

Most people go for a geuine exhaust from Vauxhall and, if purchased on trade club, the cost is not much different to a standard aftermarket replacement at Kwik Fit.

£220 cat back for GM zorst on TC.... double walled, much, MUCH better than aftermarket.

Not only are the G.M ones far better quality than pattern the V6 sounds
 soooooooooooooooo much better  :) :) :)

Thanks for making me feel welcome and for the advice!!

Where and how would i go about getting a trade card? Can they be used for anything and everything?

 Cheers Again

get a card by joining ABS ...

 http://www.autobahnstormers.org

 costs £20

This will give you very cheap prices on "trade club" items .. and 10-15% from most VX dealers on other parts.

 As an example ..

Engine oil 10-40W semi synthetic 5ltr  Omega recommended stuff...

 Retail = £15.25 Normal £11.22 Trade Club £7.86

and on TC offer at 4 for 3 .. so on TC you get 20 ltrs for 23.58 instead of £61.00 ... already paid for the membership !!!

and lots more savings as well ... try this one ..

Brake Disc & Pad Kit, Front Retail Price £96.00 Normal Price £79.25       Trade Club £69.60
-
That sounds like a great little investment!!

Can the card be used to save money on servicing as well? My elite is due for a service in the next 2000 miles and my missus's tigra is over due for a service

 Cheers mate

Parts only I'm afraid .. as it is designed for independent garages doing the service for you .. thats why its called a "trade card" .. but you can do all the service items yourself and buy the parts at trade price with one :)

 Hi mate,

I would definitely recommend powerflow if you decide to go for a stainless steel one. Sounds great too... ;D
You get a choice of backbox styles plus if you want it to sound sporty or as standard...
Mine cost £400 for my 2.5V6, made and fitted (took 5 hrs....)
