Wndering if anyone can tell me the part no. for the LSD rear end, Currently have a rear end taken off a 1996 3.0 elite manual but need to know if its a LSD before I fit it to my car, thanks :y

most likely wont be a LSD, i believe they were only fitted to plod spec MV6

LSD's are rare... they were never fitted to retail Omega's (in the UK anyway)
Only Omegas in the UK to have an LSD are ex-plod, even then some do, some don't
They as rare as rocking horse poo poo....

I have access to an ex police 1998 3.0mv6, has been stripped but back end is still complete, I will check that out. cheers

I doubt if the engraved ident will be readable, it should be under a label stuck to a flat area 1" x 3/4" on the bottom of the main diff case.
If you remove the back cover and see normal planet gears then its a conventional diff. if the gears are completely enclosed then its a limited slip.

I doubt the guy is gonne let me open it before buying it lol, will see if i can make out anything on the tag tho ;)

Not quite true, they were an optional extra.
