i have a gm fault code reader for a vauxhall omega t[he type that goes on 2 pins] . when it is on it flashes 10 x then another 5 x .
does anyone have a clue what this means as the booklet you get with it doesnt explain it properly :'(

the system is trying to give you the code, the flashes correspond to the numbers...
so 10 pause 5 would be code 0105? have a look at this site and it will tell you what that code means
http://www.topbuzz.co.uk/info/fault_codes/fault_codes.htm
scroll down the page and have a look at the codes
0105 sounds like Intake manifold pressure sensor.
What age and engine size is your car? i would hazard a guess it is a facelifed 2000 on car as this looks like a 'simtec' code (later type of injection system)

see Maintenence Guides section for a post titled Paperclip test (your reader is simply a fancy paperclip)

its a20ltr 1999

rang vauxhall ask them about intake manifold pressure sensor they told me its an airflow meter is this right
-
not as far as i am aware.......
what's the fault with the car?
as The boy said your item is a paperclip reader
that said i believe i may have misread your flashes, 10 flash then 5 flash could be 0115, if thats the case then it will be Intake Coolant Temperature Sensor, this is a temp sensor that sits in the air feed tube that comes out of the airfilter box....
what are is the fault/issue though with the car?

when warm rev drop sometimes cuts out cleaned all breathers changed idle control valve and the fault code reads 10 flashes then 5 flashes vauxhall said the intake pressure sensor is the black thing that sits on top off the airflow meter
