Title: Shouldn't mine have???
Post by: waspy on 13 January 2008, 21:17:30
I've been looking through my owner's manual & i've noticed that on the wiper stalk it mentions a "Timed interval wipe"
With mine being a late model CD i would have thought it should have this or was it an optional extra & standard fit on CDX & above?
TIA Pete  :-/

Really? Its an easy upgrade to add (stalk and relay), but many later facelifts came with such goodies removed.

I think around 2002 they seamed to remove it.... along with the blind.

We had a V reg 2.0 GLS facelift once, that had it, my 2.2 cd (2000 year) has it, my dads 2001 facelift cd has it....

My ex P reg had it and now my 3.2 sport has it too. Perhaps it was an option for all models?

2001 was the change over year so some will and some wont

my 2001 elite is early 2001 Y reg, so 3.0 not 3.2, and it does have the adjustable intermittent wiper, as does my 2000 (facelift) GLS

What where Vauxhall playing at when they made the Mig  :(
Some have, some don't.  :(
In my owners manual it usually has a star next to what could be fitted depending what spec you have, but no star :-?
I had a bog standard Rover 800 Diesel some years back & even that had it.
Found it VERY useful :y

Or maybe the intermittent wiper control parts bin didn't get refilled as it should when the cars where built and the lineworkers just grabbed and fitted the next one available! :D

From the mixed responses to this thread VX may have just got load of different wiper stalks put them in a bran tub and operated a "lucky dip"system ;D
