Title: ABS & TC Warning Lights
Post by: BillM on 19 January 2008, 17:42:38
The ABS & TC warning lights on my MV6 3.0 (year 2000 facelift model) have started to illuminate intermittently - any ideas of the likely cause/remedy??

Thanks

Unfortuantely, yes :(

I suspect the ECU has had enough.

I'm in Brackley, and have a Tech2 that can do diags on it, on the offchance that it is another problem, such as wheel sensor.

Thanks for your prompt reply - I will probably take you up on that - how do I make arrnagements?

In the meantime am I right to assume that both ABS & TC are dysfunctional whilst the lights are on and there are no safety issues otherwise?

Send me PM to arrange.

These safety systems may not work.  Also be aware that the PAS may unexpectedly fail, which could be dangerous (it catches you unaware)

When the lights come up do you also loose your speedo??
If so the almost def the ABS ECU about £125 for a recon one, as The Boy has said.
