Title: Dis Pack
Post by: BlasterBates on 20 January 2008, 21:31:45
Hi this is my first post..
My omega 1997 2.5 gls started running rough on friday, missing on no 1 cylinder, checked the obvious, plugs, leads, breathers, oil in plug wells etc, Had a lot of rain in the last week, found water dripping down behind the skuttle off the wiring loom near wiper motor and down near the Dis Pack.. every thing points to this being the problem, where is the best place to buy one? I need a replacement asap, but I don't have a trade card, any help would be greatly appreciated..

Thanks Neil..

Fisrt off you need to find out which type you need (there are three versions but, given the age of you car one can be eliminated).

You can get them on ebay for 80ish quid.....

Thanks Mark DTM..

First of all, I managed to get the Bosch no off the coil pack without removing it from the car.  using my digital camera nikon 995, pulled no 3 lead clear zoomed in and took the picture with flash..
The No is 0221503017..

Next question..
I have found one on ebay from the vauxcentre for £58.50 inc post.
Has anyone had any dealings with this company and do they rate them? also is it a genuine Bosch or 3rd party product.

Thanks again..

They seem quite a reliably company to use, a fair number of people on here have used them in the past...including myself ;)

I got a genuine bosch dispack from autovaux for £88 in december, don't know how much extra delivery would be as i went and collected it seeing as they're only down the road.
