Use new oil, Dextron3

I use liquid gasket on gearbox sumps...

otherwise, old one off, new one on.

fit the TC IN the box, before mating up to flex plate. Make sure it's right back in, located on the Dogs.

:)

The gearbox has two "dogs" that the Torque converter needs to align with, before mating up with the engine.

If I got a free weekend i'd pop over. When are you doing the job?

From memory:

Undo prop at gearbox end.
Disconnect oil cooler rubber pipes, and bung to stop leaks.
Remove rubber gromet, and undo 6 (if petrol) TC bolts.
Remove split pin and disconnect gearstick linkage
Use a jack to support box, and undo rear mounting bracket.
Lower slightly and undo all 4 electrical connectors (on on top of box above output shaft).
Undo all the bellhousing bolts and probably remove starter?
Pull box back and lower.

Refit is similar, but make sure the TC is fully in box before attempting to fit.

I removed the cats as well for easier access
