I know next to nothing about 95 Omegas, but just in case I can help, does it have remote release from the key (if so could it need a new battery?).
Could it be the fuse that feeds the solenoid? (wherever that is).

i had a similar problem,i had to crawl into the boot from the rear seats to release it, it turned out that a screw holding the remote locking mechanism to the lock had fallen out.

i had a 96 saloon vectra that used to do the same thing, the central locking solenoid would jam in the locked position so i had to climb into the boot through the back seats (not a pretty sight) and pull the link arm from the handle to the lock it with a small vice grip to open it.
someone more learned that I will give the correct advice no doubt.........
