Title: Camshaft location
Post by: JamesV6CDX on 25 January 2008, 23:39:08
On a 3.0 when I put it together -

I presume, that I put any cam marked "G" in the inlet, and any cam marked "A" in the Exhaust?

They're the same between banks, IIRC. Extra length on the passenger side is taken up by the different pulley.

Indeed it is :)

I just wondered if there was any identification difference between the banks, from the factory.

Where did you get all your V6 knowledge Kev? Have you stripped many of these things?

I've rebuilt a few at the top end, but I'm still learning many little things! :)

Just one V6. ClarCE's 3.0 cam upgrade. That was a fun day. :y

I'm pretty sure the cams are the same regardless of bank.

Yes mate, inlet (middle 2 cams) will be the G cams and the exhaust cams are the A's
