Want to get a new set of alloys. Thinking of going for a set of 19inch. Has anyone got any advice, wondering if the ride is really bad with the very low profile tyres. If not I will stick to 18inch. Thanks guys 8-) 8-) 8-)

That will track steer like a sod with 19's i would have thought making driving on our roads hard work :-/

not really dont forget 1.8 ton car and rear wheel drive !! might have to play around with tyre pressures but shoudnt be that different from my mv6 17"s :y

I had 18's om my LC Replica, and it bump steered like a bitch.
The wheels would follow the slight tracks in the road and try and take the steering wheel out of my hands.

What you've got to do is weigh up what you want, the car to look great or the car to drive great, i don't think with wheels of that size fitted with less rubber than my shoes it's going to be much of the latter :-/.
But at the end of the day it's your money, your choice :).

19's and lowered would look awesome ! :y
Dunno how it'll drive tho.
My Auto 2.5td has 40mm lower springs, slightly up-graded shocks and 17's. The ride is firm but not harsh. Handles well for a big old barge.
You're gonna have to be extra carefull when parallel or kerb parking and slow right down when you see the old "RAMP AHEAD" signs.

Yep, 19" will ride hard but have to say I have yet to see any wheels that fill the size of the huge omega arches!
"Ramp Ahead"? Pah! They don't bother with all that bollards in our neck of the woods, they try and make them blend just as you hit them at 50 OUCH miles an hour! ;D

Bite the bullet and bought a set of TSW reflex 19inch from Wheelbase. Got a good price complete with Toyo tyres and a free set of locking wheel nuts. Should be getting them tomorrow Ill let you know how they go :y :y :y

I get the same problem with 17" Azev's although they are wider than normal. Does help to play around with the tyre pressures. I've got 235x40x17 tyres on the front and currently run them at 28psi, but had them at 32 when first fitted and bump steer/tramlining was quite bad.
