Try it with a cup full, can't see it damaging the manifold and you'll know for certain.
Obviously I mean diluted not neat.

I am talking about the MV6, though I could also included the Rover in that statement as well.
The tractor, complete with its shiny new sump plug (after last one was ripped out at 80mph) is, to the best of my knowledge, running fine (she's taken tractor to her weekend course).

AHhhh.... another V6 head rebuild ;D ;D
As you very well know, coolant could be lots of other things, though? HBV / Bridge / Stat Cooler / One of the transfer pipes / etc.
Hot coolant on an exhaust smells very very sweet.
On a serious note - you know where I am if you need a hand with anything at all :)

I need to investigate when I get time. Sooner rathe rthan later, costing a bloody fortune in coolant. Only seems to lose coolant when in use - can sit for weeks on drive and not lose a drop.
Suspect the oil is cam cover, passenger side, which I changed in the summer >:(

Most coolant leaks (actually, ALL in my experience) only manifest themselves when the system is under pressure, ie being pumped when the engine is running. More so, of course, if the system is being pressurised by cylinder compression (if your HG has gone).

I dont think HG has failed, that would be too unlucky. Though not sure how the coolant is getting to where it is though.
Oddly, coming back from Oxford last night, it didn't drop any, which would point back to HBV, but that seems fine...
