The driver's heated seat dosen't work so I am thinking that the heat pad is fubard. How easy is it to remove the pad out of the seat?

Have you checked the Fuse first ;)

If its leather then it is stiched in, so not that easy

In my experience, if the switch indicator lights up, its a knack'd pad.
Leather, pads stictched in. Cloth, seperate pad, but still a pig...

Hi!
I've the same problem, driver side seat isn't working passanger side is working wrong (I think the thermostat part is dead becuse it heats like an animal...)
Check the fuse first but if you need to replace the pad that won't be cheap (in Hungary the pad is almost 180 pounds/seats)
I will buy another type of pad (BMW heated seat pad) and I will install into my car, the original one is not so good because the wire can break. The BMW pad can't break because it like a texture....My collegue has done and it works correctly in an Astra G.
The BMW pad costs approximetaly 1 pound per seat.... ;D Ok it should cut to size but I think it will work...

Yes I think you should use the carbon type pad. I wrote a bad price in case of BMW it costs 10 pounds, bit I think it's very friendly...
