Title: 18" wheels what offset is needed
Post by: jemis on 06 February 2008, 20:23:11
Hi
I'm thinking of buying a set of 18" alloys, what offset is best for the omega and what tyre size would be right.
The wheels would be 8x18".

Cheers

8's are very wide, really the smallest you can use would be 235, and thats pushing it. but thats about as big as you should go on the omega, so its a starting point. maybe a 235-40-18 or 235-35-18
offset wise, 15-18inch, doenst matter, its the wheel width that does. But you should stick to std offset really. somewhere around 39ET

Depending on the wheel the Omega requires a +35mm to +45mm offset. Offset determines the wheel's inner and outer clearances. Follow the link to an explanation of offset and how to measure it. Or you can use the Offset Calculator.
