Title: BMW+AR35
Post by: Pitchfork on 07 February 2008, 13:22:50
As I understand it BMW used the GM AR35 box in their 525D
If this is the case would it be an option if one was looking to replace the AR25 in their Traktor to source a BMW box as an alternative to one from a Petrol 3.0 V6?
Has anyone ever done this????

Not sure on ratios between a diesel box and petrol.

Would the gearing be too high if fitting a diesel box to petrol? ? ? Mind you if you had the power make some respectful high speed? ?

I'm talking about fitting a box from a BMW 525D to an Omega TD
They both use the same Diesel engine!

Might be ok, assuming the electrical connectors and output shaft config are the same.
