Title: Low power trying to cut out HELP.
Post by: SP_3.2 on 07 February 2008, 09:41:24
I have an 3.2 and on Monday on the way back home the car as low on power have to push the acc down to get in up to mway speed. Also notice that when i took at bend it was as if it was about to cut out. There are not lights on the dash and no new codes in the system. It has also been JUST a bit harder to start just by a second if that. I have changed the crank sensor.

Could anyone help with any ideas where to start. The MPG has also been low.

Thanks for the help/

Update

After having no luck with the car decided to check on the fuel lines check the fuel pipes into the fuel pump  under the plate in the boot. And guest what there was a hole in one of the return pipes. I cut the pipe down and removed the damaged part and, as good as new. Starts 1st time all the power is back and the MPG is up.  :y

Thnak guy,s  it was one of those last straw type things know one could help as there where no codes coming up. Spoke to a mobie mech in coventry who used to look after my car all the time and te told me that with the poor starting and the cutting out the may will be fuel relatred. Very glad he was right on the money could have been very expensive as most of the people where talking about bocked cats :'(
