Title: speedo switch

hello ev 1 can anyone tell what the green plug on the top of the gearbox is with it looks like 2 or 3 wires coming out of the gear box and are the mv6 gearbox's r25 - r28

I assume this is a manual in which case its an R28 gearbox (as used on the 3.0 engines only).

The only connections to the manual gearbox are the wires for reverse lights switch.

Do also be aware that the connectors for the lambda sensors are also clipped to a bracket on the gearbox (one either side on the V6)
