I've tried to adjust the position of the front seat using the electric drive motor but the drive appears to have seized. When i press the control button on the side of the seat it "clunks" but will not move the seat position.Any suggestions please?

That's great, thanks for the advice. I've checked the front passenger seat too and that's showing exactly the same fault so I suspect must be fairly common problem

Seeing this just reminded me both mine were stuck, so i did like it said, 13mm skinny socket on an extension bar and now both freed nicely.

The problem is that on many cars people set the seats once and then never change them plus they get set on an end stop!
A trick is to wind it fully down (or up) and then just back it off a bit in the opposite direction.
Makes no difference on the height but ensures its not sat against an end stop on the height adjuster.

I used to have a fault with the memory for the mirrors with my car that I can only think was due to a lack of use. If I pressed 1 the seat & mirrors would go to where they should have. But, if I pressed it again the passenger mirror would then point to the floor. :-? Repeated changes between position 2 for SWMBO & my settings 'fixed' it! :y

I could do with something like that on mine, my SWMBO is a shorta$$ and moves everything when she drives my miggy
