how old is your car? Is it the full MID or TID?  its a common problem on pre 1998 mini facelift models.

They can be fixed, there is a guide in the maintaince section.

Its best just to replace it, they are cheap enough!

I have one in the cupboard, came from a donor clock display, will post a pic of it up, as I don't know what model or year the display came out of.

I'm guessing yours will be later type (single grey connector, and computer lines above radio line), not the early type (2 connectors - yellow and black, computer lines below radio line)

You need to upload you photo to a hosting site such as http://www.flickr.com

Dead simple to set up.

Remove the spaces from inside the square brackets []

The pic url is easy to get by right clicking on the picture and selecting "Properties"

I have 2 perfectly working MID's here, one with the single grey connector (from a 98 MV6) and the other the black and yellow connectors (from a 95 Elite) so whichever you need let me know and I will sort it for you...if you have a 98 Omega then it will have an MID and not a TID...you may need to remove the MID though to check the connector on the back...its easily done, should take 5-10 mins :)

Sure mate but you will need to check which one you need...10 minute job to whip the display out....probably the grey connector but best to check which one cos I need to know which one to hold back if someone wants the other :)

If computer lines below radio line, it has yellow/black connectors.  If it has computer lines above radio line, it has grey connector.

If yeelow/black, it needs to come from same engine/gearbox combo, else will need reprogramming via tech2.  If grey connector, it needs to be same engine/gearbox/tyres/headlights etc type, else will need reprogramming with tech2
