i got my omega on mailage 93000
it s 97777
i changed so manything in this car
everything seem very good
the only thing is i dont know Differential Oil
when it should be change?
how often it should change ?
-
If the diff is not a limited slip the oil is probably OK if left (but checked and topped up as required) until the diff needs attention. It's not straightforward to drain anyway because there is no drain plug.
If you want to change it, however, it won't do any harm and there's a description in the HOWTO area. :y

how to know its limited slip or nt
shape ? or model ?
-
there is a code somewhere on them. Someone more knoledgable than me will probably remember but my guess is that they were never fitted to the 2ltr anyway.
-
according to the haynes book of 'dangle berries' ,there is aplate fixed to the underside of the diff casing, there are 2 rows of letters on this .the second letter on the bottom row tells you if it has an lsd fitted.s=yes,o=no :y
This was mentioned in another thread entitled "Auto box any good?"

I really doubt it is limited slip on your 2L.
Does the bottom of it look oily? If so worth checking the level, otherwise I think it will be fine.
-
no there is no oil
its dry dirt but not oil
how to check it?
-
There should be a coded plate on the underside of the diff.........
Check the 2 digits on the bottom left of the plate,
The right hand one of the 2 digits corresponds with the following....
O = without limited slip
S = with limited slip

how to check it?
There's a filler / level plug on one side of the diff. You need an 8mm allen (Hex) key or socket to remove it (fresh in my mind as I did mine last week!).
Remove the plug, with the car level add oil until it starts to overflow out of the filler hole then wait for the flow to stop and replace plug.

tightening torque 22 Nm / 16 lbf. ft., then turn bolt a further 90° + 180°.
Vehicles with limited slip differential: press plastic plug into filler plug bolt.

there was code on rear bolt
the bolt was cleaner than the other like they checked it b4
the number wasnt clear but i could see something like 1 00 on the bolt
feel its not limited slip
but with car level add oil until it starts to overflow out of the filler hole then wait for the flow to stop and replace plug.
as kevin said it make sense
and i want to thank s to all of you
for sharing ur knowledge and experience

And replacing/toppping up the gearbox fluids is much the same, filler on the side of the gearbox, undo, get car up to running temperature, with engine still running top up until overflowing, wait for flow to stop, then turn off engine and put filler plug back in...
