Not far/fast. Something like 30m at 30mph.

Very easy to drop propshaft (3 bolts each end) though ;)

being an auto, not very far. 5/10 miles max.

To tow further you need to disconnect the drive-shaft, and tie it up out of the way.

As already said .. and it's not a nice car to be towed in even for a few hundred yards ...

Steering : diabolical with engine not running

Brakes : unless you are REALLY forceful they are almost useless, and your leg gets very tired very fast.

So, bar tow with prop shaft off, spectacle lift or trailer

Every time this crops up it's like a game of Chinese whispers. :-? Send reinforcement we're going to advance becomes .... Send three & fourpence we're going to a dance!!..... Each time the max distance decreases & the max speed decreases. According to the Vauxhall hand book it's a max of 50 miles at and a max distance of 60 miles. Some what different from 5 or 10 miles. I reckon I could push an Omega that far!!!  ;D  ;D  ;D

different versions of the manual state different things. best is 50m at 50mph that I've seen. I think 30m at 30mph is worse.

You'll need a substantial tow vehicle to tow an Omega on a trailer and be legal. Max towing weight is around 1800 MAX on a 3.0 / 3.2 saloon. The Omega is that much before you add the trailer.
