Title: Wheel Spacers
Post by: Omega Pixie on 14 February 2008, 13:15:00
The after market shocks we bought are bigger and so the strut is now very....very  close to the wheels could we put some 3mm spacers on the tyres or is this dangerous?

As MM says if it hasn't touched yet , and you'll see a scuff on the paint if it has, it wont.
Re spacers ,3mm wont affect your set up only when the size goes above 10mm do you get wobble andd hubcentric spacers will resolve that.
In effect your wheels will protrude 3mm further out each side .
If you have standard alloys they'll be ET39. Fitting 3mm spacers will give a wheel offset of ET 36,still within the min ET35 advised for the Omega .

I put 25mm H&R hubcentric spacers on each rear wheel per CateraMV6's example. It was purely an aesthetic modification on our parts. Take a look at his thread for more info.
