Title: Electric Sunroof Fault
Post by: edwardmickey on 20 February 2008, 14:00:35
Guys

My sunroof wouldn't close - checked fuses, it had blown.

Replaced fuse, sunroof moved but not fully.  Tried to reset it by holding down switch but nowt.  Fuse blown again.

Placed 15amp fuse in just to close it.

What could be wrong?

The roof is probably bone dry and needs re-greasing, or of course the motor is nearly knackered.

Sounds like the motor is seized or the sliding mech is jammed.

You be able to close it with a large screwdriver in the Motor spindle slot (some dont have them).

Then work out whats is, or nots going on.
