Changed timing belt last night, and had car out for a spin, all was ok, Took the car out today and after approx 2hrs of driving the ecu light came on then off again, then after a while came on for longer.
I took the car home and performed the paperclip test (95 2.5 v6 btw)
and as far as I can gather its giving codes 14 coolant temp voltage low and code 19 Rpm signal incorrect.
THe car runs fine while the light is on and performance is not affected.
Anyone have any ideas what I need to do?
As the temp sensor is not easy to get to Im kinda stumped.

19 generally means crank position sensor needs changing.
Has any work been done at the top rear of the engine? inlet manifolds off?
The temp sensor connector may have been disturbed.

I believe that 19 shows up with the engine not running in every case, could be a red herring...
I'd recheck all the connections and be sure that you've not crushed a cable to a sensor anywhere..

Hi, these codes were read with the engine running, Nothing top end was disturbed just the air system at the front of the engine.
I went out and checked the crank sensor for condition, apart from being a bit oily it looks realtively clean, cleaned it up and put it back in, started car and the light went out,
I have noticed that the light seems to come on when the engine is hot tho, The temp guage on the dash does not work due to the sensor for that needing to be changed also, Couldnt be bothered taking the inlet manifold off just to replace it, but looks like I need to replace both now.
out of interest where does the connector join for the crank sensor? i lost sight of it when it went up past the manifold to downpipe connection, might be worth saying that the foil headshield for the crank sensor wiring was hard up against the manifold, I have since moved this away.

Its the wire on the crank sensor that fails.....hence disturbing it sorted it for a while and why when its hot its worse!

crank sensor connector is on the right hand (as you look at it) of the engine behind the plenum, when you change it make sure you get the right shaped connector there are two one is square and one with rounded ends,also dont believe the Vx EPC they listed the wrong one for my car. (take yours with you or read the part number on the sensor and quote it to the parts person)

Crank sensor needs changing asap. It is NOT the cause of your EML (annoyingly, the one sensor that can mean your v6 goes for a ride on a tow truck does not bring on the EML >:(). But you need to change it. It WILL let you down. Big time.
It'll be the CTS bringing on EML. Check connections, though normally reliable on them, and replace if necessary.
