The EML is on. Had the codes read, P0170, P0173 and P0335. Two first ones are fuel-system related, shop said it's the MAF, the last is crank sensor (although the TECH2 said "unknown"???). Crank sensor was replaced, ECU program updated and the light was gone...for two whole days! Now it's on again, don't want to spend money on MAF, especially while the car runs like new. Tried to clean MAF with electronic cleaner spray with no luck. Any ideas? Can the MAF be cleaned or is it time for a new one (almost 300 EUR at the Opel)?

It doesnt have to be a dirt on the EMF, it can be an electronic failure.
The best way to find out is to swap your EMF with other Omega, with same engine or to check the sensor itself.

If you have an access to any GM scanner (tech-2, OpelScanner) please check the values of the MAF when on idle. You can find mine in the link (ca 12 kg/h) and I assume it's the proper value for 2.0.

I got a MAF out the scrappys for £20 been working without problems for two years. Madness buying a brand new one at those prices. If you have taken the back off it to reveal the hot wire chances are it will be toast. My old MAF meter was working fine until I had the bright idea of cleaning it.

I agree - if you try to clean it mechanicaly you have 99% chanves to kill it.
You can clean it using spay (as you said) but first, check if it's necessary.

Thanks guys. Just ordered as new one from the local speed shop for a reasonable money, original Bosch. I'll get it on Monday and I'll be back when it's fitted... Just have to hope that the light will go off..
