Title: auto box type

hi all my have found a 2.5 td but it is a auto as you all say this is a weak box .I have seen on this site that a change to a AR35 box is poss .What car is fitted with this type of box is it the same as a 3L carlton as i have a spare one of these (a late model) still in car so caren't read type off box any help?

I don't think the box off a Carlton will do, it is basically the same box but the wiring plugs are all different.

AR35 was fitted to 3.0 and 3.2 cars.

AR35 will be a direct upgrade and fit for an AR25 and as said found on the Omega 3.0 and quite possibly the facelift models...I have a spare one sitting on the car I'm stripping in the driveway if you want one??? Not expensive, where do you live?
