Hello all, can I put a standard sim (o2) in the built in phone on my 99 elite? also does anyone use theirs is it any good? [smiley=dankk2.gif]

I find it works pretty well and yes, any 900 GSM operator wil work (i.e. O2) but, you need the credit card size sim or a standard sim in the credit card type adaptor they are normaly provided in.....if that makes sense :-[

If I'm going any kind of distance I divert my mobile to the car :y
Just get annoyed with the O2 top-up texts every so often..

Great thanks folks! :y

and tesco and Asda I believe.
If you cant get a sim carrier, find and old card that contained a sim and stick some sellotape over the underside of the hole.
The sim goes into the unit with the gold contacts facing up.
Works for me and I haven't had to change the tape yet in over 2 months :)

my boy got 4 orange simcards last week off here, ive just registered one and wondered why it wont work, ive just sent off for some 02 and vodaphone sims now. i thought about diverting my mobile to car while driving, does it cost extra to divert to another mobile no???.

Usually yes, you pay for the forwarded call on your mobile bill of the number doing the forwarding.
Much better is to record a voicemail on your primary number saying something like 'call me on 077 etc, I'm in the car' and switch your voicemail off.
If it's important people will call, if not they'll wait

CCRT700
Remove the front panel and it's on the bottom, sim goes in facing up
