Just had a standard headlight bulb go on my 2.2CD (not xenon) and replaced both with Halfords "Super Brilliance" lamps which are definitely an improvement on the original lamps. Replaced one lamp first and compared the light output on a wall at various distances with a photo light meter (sad I know...). Although it's possible the original lamp may have deteriorated with age, I'm not sure. Light also appears whiter and is a quite noticeable improvement on the road.
The bulbs are buy one get one free at the moment @ £14.99
Prior to fitting the new lamp I also cleaned the headlights which was a worthwhile upgrade.. :P

YES the super B bulbs are a significant improvement! I keep noticing an improvement since replacing last month. Definately a top recommendation :y.

If you have a Halfords Trade card you get a decent discount on lamps too ;) I also noticed that when I fitted my new battery to the car the headlights seemed to be improved too :)

I would be overjoyed to get ANY trade cards. How difficult is it to get one?

Thanks for the info. Just went on autobhanstormers website - looks impressive.
I think that I will join!
Should easily easily be worth the £20.00 for the discounts and Tech support.

Well worth the money. To be honest, their coverage of Omegas is weak, specialising more in straight 6 engined Vauxhalls. Can't speak for quality of their forums, as the 2 years I was a member, I never managed to get a forum account :'(

Noted!
Must say that I am quite impressed with this Omeha forum. The members here seem quite 'switched on' with common issues with Omega. You guys are doing a great service to fellow enthusisiasts :y
