Fronts are around £70/80 inc pads from Vx on Trade Club. Sensors are difficult to remove intact especially if the unworn bit of the disc has started to wear through it - but they're only cheap. No idea about rear - sorry. :-/ :y

Thanks for that Andy Not to bad :y
Having had a good look i think i just need the front and rear Pads
Thanks for the help.

I think the rears are a similar price to the front as yours will be vented. IIRC
-
Thats good how much would you say that iyt would be for just the front and back pads from vaux.
Nice to have meet you at the meet. Hope you got your manifold done ok. Was a great day :y

Front pads are about £10 - 11
Sensors are £7 - 8 I think yours may be just new enough to only have 1 sensor :-/

Looking at my invoice for June 2006 the front pads and discs from a Vx stealer were £94. At the same time the sensors needed changing (as they invariably broke!) and they were £18.
Fitting also cost me £70 but they were the original discs and pads from when I bought the car so I got 28k miles out of them.
Mr Hagon.

That'll be full retail price though. My approx price is Trade Club. ;) :y

presumably they had more miles on them before you bought the car..
I would expect to get at least 50k from a set of pads and 100k from discs.

Thanks for that paul ... i read it ;) :y

Good to see you on Saturday, all Paul's prices are spot-on, buy new 'brake wear sensors' as removing the existing is a pain, they either brake or chip.

The car had about 60k miles on it when I bought it a good few years ago. Back in June 2006 this was the first time the discs and pads needed doing. By this point the car would have been about 90k miles.
As it happens the discs ended up warping after six months, but this was covered under warranty so I got new discs and pads in Jan 2007.

Just to clarify, the rear discs do NOT come with any pads or shoes. Fronts come with pads.
Vx shoes are stupid money - Ferrodo from Halfords come in about £12 ish with a Halfords trade card.
