Title: Rear Blind recoil problem?
Post by: Tafty on 01 March 2008, 16:30:17
Hi gents and lasses.

Not posted for a while and am in need of a bit of advice. I've finally got around to adapting my rear shelf and fitting my rear blind into 2001 CDX and have encountered a problem. When the blind raises up it works fine but the tension in the material of the screen is not there. So resulting in when I go to retract the blind into the rear tray - the arms go down but the screen doesn't recoil back into the holder as it should - it stays out and lies on the shelf in a pile!! :o. Is there a particular way of setting the tension up of the screen prior to attaching it to the interior coloured bar? There is an allen socket on one side - but this only seems to go about 3/4's of a turn. Any help much appreciated chaps.

Cheers

sounds like the springs in the blind are knackered. Had this on  2 of mine, pretty much impossible to fix yourself, If you bought this second hand then it looks like you were sold a duffer.

Time to haul it back out and get another blind assembly or whole shelf with blind, whatevers cheapest and available.

cheers
