Title: Opel-scanner
Post by: kcl on 05 March 2008, 07:43:02
Does anyone know/have experience on this one:
http://www.elekma.com/product_info.php?cPath=149_134&products_id=887
The page is in Finnish, but in general it says that this will have all the same possibilities as Tech2 and the screenshots do look promising. Also the price seems very reasonable compared to original Tech2. Should I buy one or is it waste of money?

Its a reasonable bit of kit, some of the guys on here have one.

I note that the picture sudgests that the USB interface is supported by an adaptor lead!

It wont give full Tech2 functionality though but, will allow live data to be viewed and fault codes read and cleared.

That's an old one in the picture. The current ones are USB.

Make sure the seller is a registered OpelScanner Dealer!

That company is on list of dealers.

As VXL V6 says now comes in USB format, also the latest version supports CAN interface thats used on the latest VX models

Not a bad bit of kit. Way too expensive IMHO.  Massively better than the cheapo Tech2, not as capable as a real Tech2.

VXL V6 and IggyUK21 had one, so listen to their views :y
