Hi just a quick question
2.5 V6 Can I change the oil cooler without removing the heads?

I have a small leak from the mounting plate so I am going to change the whole thing.

just be carefull with the oil cooler feed pipes try not to bend them try and undo them above the oil filter !! :y

You can remove the oil cooler with heads in situ but.....you have to undo the cover - oil cooler nuts first then unbolt the cover from the block and the cover nuts tend to strip their threads as you undo them.

If this does happen then look for a complete oilcooler kit of heat-exchanger, cover and nuts from Vx, not separate parts.
