I put 15 quids worth of LPG in my tank yesterday, and another 30 quids worth today but the gauge on the tank and the set of 4 level lights in the cabin haven't changed, in fact they are going down as i use it as though i hadn't filled it up at all... what can be wrong??

Is it leaking?
Could be a dodgy tank sender

I would expect the gauge to show full to start with even if it is leaking.......so id go for a dodgy sender as Martin says.......
Or other possibility is LPG garage your filling up from is ripping you off and only giving you 1L of LPG instead of the 60ish L you paid for today ;D

Yeah the garage option occurred to me except i went to a different one today to disprove that.
Would a dodgy sender ignore the refilled amount and just keep decrementing as though i hadn't refilled at all.
There doesn't appear to be any leaks anywhere either.
The circular gauge on the tank and the LED's in the cabin are showing the same amount...

If your still getting the miles from the tank of lpg.......i wouldnt worry about the gauges........TBH there very inacurate....and only a rough estimate.
I use my trip odo.......to gauge how much lpg i have left.
I know my tank is small (38L).......but i know i can do 125miles doing town work.......200 miles on a run....so i gauge it on that :y
Tho im actually doing more than that now.......ive started using Shell LPG......as an experiment.......was using Countrywide LPG ....and my mpg has definately gone up.......just gotta work out if its worth the extra 8ppl im paying for it :-/

I agree with TD. My meter shows 4/4 when full (about £27) but takes about 130 miles to drop to 3/4 and then another 50 miles to 1/2 and then skips 1/4 to the red light until it's empty which is about 250 miles. I installed the LPG myself so i know my sender and the meter that came with it is very inaccurate and needed some tweaking to get to where i am now.
I calculate the miles per tank and reset the trip each time i full her to the brim.

Out of curiosity, this morning i disconnected the wiring from the level sender back to the electronics on the LPG tank, when i started it up, the digital gauge flashed as though the tank was over-full.
From this i deduce that the electronics presumes the tank is over-full unless the level sender tells it otherwise.
Can the level sender be changed without draining the LPG tank???

I've put £52 in over the last 2 days, thats not far short of 100 litres... :o
When these tanks are full do they just stop accepting gas???

It should refuse to take anymore gas when full or start p*ss*ng out the sides of the filler. I would imagine it will be obvious when the tank doesn't want to be fed anymore lpg.
