omega 2.6 cxd estate 2001.
Help. just got hold of this car with a few problems.
1st rear diff noisey, swopped diff now nice and quiet.
2nd was a missfire on stratup from cold. turned out to be the spark plugs on nearside had never been changed but previous owner had bill from main stealers for plug change 6 months ago.
3rd prob in my engine light is on. got hold of a code reader and is showing p0170/p0173/p1300. suspect p1300 was plugs. reset all 3 but p0170/173 have come back after a few days. with a reader connected the long term fuel trim in +25% for both banks. reset again and the short term trim is around +3% at tickover and +18% at 2000rpm.
could this be an air leak on intake plennim thingy or would this only affect one bank. sorry for such a long question

Anyone?

It seems the fuel trim is going out of limits for some reason. An air leak is a possibility, I guess. This would result in the metering picking up less air than is actually entering the engine, hence fuel will need to be added by the Lambda correction loop.
Also worth changing the fuel filter in case that's getting clogged and maybe getting the fuel pressure checked if possible.
Is the air filter in good condition? Probably worth changing that if it's not known have been changed recently.

Ooh, forgot to mention an exhaust blow upstream of the lambda sensors could cause the problem. It'd probably only be one bank, though.
