Can't help I'm afraid, but the only daft questions are the ones you don't ask.

i belive they are the 'sealed for life' type.

Only change the fluid if you either:

Have high miles (150k+)

Or having problems with the box

its just a bit tough first thing in the morning but after 15-20 mins of driving the box loosens up and its fine i was just thinking maybe the oil was a bit tired at 91,000 miles and it was due a change...no probs mark i learnt quite a bit assisting you that day and yes i`ll look out for your thread...

I have a feeling the oil is a special VX oil and they changed the spec. several times (perhaps due to poor shift quality). Given the symptoms it might be worth trying an oil change IMHO. It has worked for me before (no experience of manual Omegas though). :-/

There is a drain plug on the bottom of the box and a fill plug on the side.  According to autodata it uses 1.2 lt of sae 80w.
I'm sure some can confirm the grade and quantity as i know autodata isnt always 100%.     When i done mine i drained it and then refilled it untill oil started to flow out of the fill hole.
